“ Stopped in for lunch and ordered the bento box with beef teriyaki and orange chicken. The food was good and the portions were generous. I had plenty to eat for later. The waitress, Natalie, was pleasant, attentive and delivered great service. I will definitely come back! ”

“ We popped in for late lunch/early dinner and really enjoyed the food. The people are very friendly taking your order, attentive to your requests, and meals came timely. The quality of the meal for the cost I felt was really good. I chose two pieces of cod fish and chips. It's advertised as small but the pieces are really quite large and substantial. Good tempura not to oily or fryer tasting. The side of Cole slaw was small but really good. When I asked for extra tartar they brought it right out no extra cost or run around. French fries were crispy outside and soft and tasty inside. Good amount for the meal as well. I ordered a 3 piece side of spring rolls( veggie) they were very good. My wife had teriyaki chicken and chicken Katsu combo. Again quality and amount hit the mark. Well seasoned. Crispy and complimented by the fried rice and sauce. Typical strip mall seating inside. But you will get great service and a great meal inside or to go. ”

“ We had just donated blood at Bloodworks Northwest across the street and were needing to regain our strength. At least that's what we told ourselves as we walked across the street to Down East. D had a hankering for fish and chips and I wanted anything that came with sticky rice. Down East ticked all of those boxes and more. D had the panko fish and chips. The portions were giant. Like Jonah and the whale sized pieces of cod. The panko crust was perfectly crunchy and the fries crisp. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box. The tempura, which is t normally my favorite, was hands down the best part of the box for me. Delicious and light. It didn't have the heavy oil feel that normally bums me out about most tempura vegetables. The teriyaki was tasty and I got my side of rice, which was exactly what I wanted. The service was friendly, attentive and very clean. We will definitely be back, even without donating blood beforehand! ”
